Exciting Biblical Archaeology News

Note to archaeologists: If an ancient statement designates a specific place for a biblical site, look there first. Turns out, where John said the Pool of Siloam was, it was. Exciting, though, that it can be found where it's supposed to be, even after a do-gooder Empress of the Byzantine empire recreates the site elsewhere to legitimize the claim. All this, only a few days after other archaeologists seem to have found one of King David's palaces.

The whole world knows the Jews have a long history in that area. It's unfortunate that modern Muslim leaders (i.e., Arafat) have intimated that the Jews have fabricatedtheir claim to the area. Of course, in rejecting the last 800 years of modern history, these same Muslim leaders probably disregard all things archaeological (newfangled sciences are designed to corrupt, of course, and are contrary to the will of Allah).
